We are proud to celebrate three outstanding members of the Dalhousie family for their recent accomplishments. Their dedication, leadership, and contributions—both within our community and beyond—reflect the spirit and values we cherish here at Dalhousie.

Mike Zahner: The Perry County Community Foundation has named one of our members, Mike Zahner, the Perry County Humanitarian of the Year. For more than 45 years, he has shaped Perry County through his work as a licensed land surveyor and founder of Zahner & Associates, earning statewide recognition including the 2023 Robert E. Myers Service Award. Zahner is also deeply involved in community service, volunteering with organizations such as the Perry County Mental Health Board, Midwest Geospatial Academy, St. Rose of Lima Parish, the National Veterans Memorial, Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, and the Perry County Historical Society.

Julia Schlitt: We are very proud of this young member! Jackson High School senior Julia Schlitt has officially signed to play collegiately at Columbus State University in Georgia. Julia’s journey is remarkable — she began as a swimmer and switched to golf during COVID. By 2024, she had already climbed to the top of the leaderboard, finishing 2nd in the state her junior year! Congratulations, Julia! Your hard work, talent, and dedication continue to inspire us.

Jimmy Williams Jr: Back in November, Jimmy and his family hosted an event at Dalhousie that enabled the doctors from Cardinal Glennon, to interact and network with citizens and potential partners within Cape Girardeau. We are honored that Jimmy would bring down the team that helped save his life, and connect them with the great people of our community for such a worthy cause. Thank you Jimmy, and well done!
